On the 22nd of March 2000, Camille Marie Edwards was born in Memphis, Tennessee. She, being the youngest of three siblings, started her life journey with God and music in her heart. Living in the soulful City of Blues, Camille attended as well as completed her schooling from Breath of Life Christian Academy, graduating in 2017. It was also, at the age of 11, where the young singer debuted her singing talents to other various of stages.
Inspired by her Godmother, Dr. Ureaka Prescott whom told her to believe in herself and trust in God, Camille strived to become the uprising gospel singer-of this generation-she is today. Having always had the unwavering support from Dr. Prescott, Camille set out to bring positivity and joy in her music, using the gift that God has blessed her with.
In 2014, she started singing in plays at “Playhouse On The Square”, a theater that is prominent in musicals and dramas in Memphis. For thirteen weeks, Camille experienced training, coaching, a bit of acting, and the trials of preforming in that field. Seeing how her passion for music and her faith in God was becoming stronger, Camille continued to sing and practice. She performed around the Eat & Gulf Coast covering songs like the Blues classic, Bobby Blue Bland – “Down Home Blues”. The young songstress was soon recognized by major record label A&R’s. She eventually found her music family and signed with the distinguished record company, “Shapes Of Music, LLC.” With hard work, faith and dedication, her first album released called, “When There is A Will” in 2018. Subsequently the new single, “Queen Of God” arose, making her not only grab the attention of United States, yet also grab the attention of many new souls in the Gospel community.
